Idiotic Quote of the Week ~ Tori Spelling

"I hate water! I'm never thirsty actually. I don't drink water and I don't sweat."

Sesame Street Does True Blood

I'm a big Sesame Street fan and I like True Blood. In my opinion, this is taking the whole 'staying current' thing way too far. I can't imagine Jim Henson approving, I know I don't.

I love Tim Gunn

And when I say I love Tim Gunn, I really mean it. I'd love to have dinner with him and shop with him. I'd even listen to his constructive criticism all day long! (okay maybe that's pushing it) He's the one person who's been made famous by a reality show who really deserves it.

This quote of his referring to The Real Housewives of New Jersey cracked me up today.

'We've gone back to the Colosseum where we watch people rip each other limb to limb. I want a DNA test—how far are these women from wild animals? What do they take from this behavior? My advice is to take the high road. You'll never regret it. I've been pushed, but I discipline myself and an hour later I'm so grateful."

Shannen Doherty Writes an Advice Book

Shannen Doherty's new book: Badass: A Hard-Earned Guide To Living Life With Style And (The Right) Attitude will be released in November.

She apparently gives tips on how to live a badass lifestyle. Oh My! I'm going to get me some of that.

Oprah Is Taking Her Audience To Australia

After lots of yelling, screaming and tears Oprah revealed on her Final Season's Premiere that she's taking her entire audience to Australia for a week. With John Travolta as the pilot no less.

Too bad the taxpayers of Australia will be footing a 3 million dollar bill for the trip. Ouch.

Joaquin Phoenix Returning to Letterman on Sept 22nd

Who can forget Joaquin Phoenix's infamous visit to the Letterman show.

We'll just have to wait and see which one of his personalities show up on the 22nd.

Here's a little reminder of his last appearance.

Bob Marley's Family Loses Case Over Hit Records

Sad but oh so typical.

Bob Marley's family lost a lawsuit seeking the copyrights to several of the late Jamaican reggae singer's best-known recordings.

Friday night's ruling is a defeat for Marley's widow Rita and nine children who had sought to recover millions of dollars in damages over UMG's effort to "exploit" what they called "the quintessential Bob Marley sound recordings."
L. Peter Parcher and Peter Shukat, who are lawyers for the family, did not immediately return calls seeking comment. UMG spokesman Peter LoFrumento said the company is pleased with Cote's ruling.
Marley's family accused UMG of intentionally withholding royalties from their company Fifty-Six Hope Road Music Ltd, and ignoring a 1995 agreement assigning them rights under the original recording agreements, court papers show.
It also accused UMG of failing as required to consult with them on key licensing decisions, including the use of Marley's music as "ringtones" on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile phones, the papers show.
But Cote concluded that Marley's recordings were "works made for hire" as defined under U.S. copyright law, entitling UMG to be designated the owner of those recordings, for both the initial 28-year copyright terms and for renewals.
"Each of the agreements provided that the sound recordings were the 'absolute property' of Island," Cote wrote. "Whether Marley would have recorded his music even if he had not entered the recording agreements with Island is beside the point."

Idiotic Quote of the Week

“I want another child and I’m not afraid to die to have one!”

Michelle Duggar

I wonder what her 19 children think of that statement.

I'm Addicted to Q

When I'm working from home there really isn't anything I'd rather listen to than Q. Real Time with Bill Maher is a close second.

My work isn't steady so I store up Q podcasts like a greedy little squirrel and save them for the next time I get to do my piece work (for a extremely talented local designer)

So a big thank you to Jian Ghomeshi and everyone behind Q.
Jian, you are officially forgiven for Moxy Früvous.

P.S. Q Podcasts can be found on iTunes

Snooki Don't Need No Reusable Bag

Twitter Killed My Blog

It's been so long since I've posted, I hardly remember how to. Blogger looks so different I hope I can find my way around.

I'm always in awe of people who are able to keep their blogs going for a few years without a lull. My hat's off to them.

I'm hoping there are a few of my readers left to bear with me as I try to resurrect Bulletproof Bracelets.
