RIP Corey Haim

While I'm not terribly surprised by this news I am saddened by it.

My Tweets During The Oscars

This might not make a whole lot of sense but here goes:

Barbra Streisand doesn't have to dress up for anyone.

Wishing Carey Mulligan wins but I don't think it's in the cards.

I could really do without the Oprah.

Jeff Bridges said "Groovy" I love it.

Woody Harrelson is wearing a tux made out of hemp.

Yup, Clooney's wasted.

The audience looks as bored as we feel.

Aniston's sloppy seconds are presenting together.
Patrick Swayze was first it's just we couldn't see him because the camera was panned out so far.

Did I miss Farrah Fawcett & Bea Arthur?

RT @aimeemann officially have come to the end of needing to hear Morgan Freeman narrate anything ever again.

RT @poppedculture they mixed up a tribute to horrors with a tribute to thrillers

I spy Jenny Aniston pre-nosejob in The Leprachaun!

Chewing gum is okay, chewing it with your mouth open is not.

This is who they get to step in for Heath Ledger? Wrong.

Oh Robin - give it a rest.

RT @nowtoronto Queen Latifah introduces a clip reel of lifetime awards. And Lauren Bacall's entire career is reduced to a single film clip. Wrong.

I love how they zoom in on anyone they think is going to cry.

First Kanye moment. Ouch!

80's icons don't like to wash their hair.

I could have made a way better John Hughes montage than that one.

My husband does the best Penelope Cruz impersonation.

I do love the little lamps.

Does Cameron Diaz have to present at every Oscars?

Sandra Bullock was great in The Blind Side but it isn't Oscar worthy. Sorry.

Bber Bingo. New favourite word.

Admit it, you half expect Miley Cyrus to start picking her nose.

Kathy Ireland and Sherri Shepherd really shouldn't be given jobs where speaking is required.

The fact that Sherri Shepherd gets a paycheck makes me feel like crying.
Kate Winslet looks gorgeous.

Could we please raise some money for some elucution lessons for Miley Cyrus.

Why can't Keanu ever shave?!

What are on Charlize Theron's boobs?

Lady Gaga ~ Blah Blah

I know this picture of Lady Gaga at The Grammy's has been everywhere this week but seriously. Look at the poor guy sitting behind her and 10 rows back for that matter.

Call me old fashioned or a fuddy duddy but if you want to wear a headdress like this, you can sit in the back row!

Jennifer Lopez ~ badunkadunk!

This picture has got to be photoshopped.
Has anyone seen an ass like this in real life?
I'm finding it oddly fascinating.

Poor Rip Torn

I saw this picture of Rip Torn this morning and it broke my heart.
Rip was arrested while trying to break into a bank with a loaded gun this weekend.
I'm assuming he was pretty intoxicated while doing so.

I'm a huge fan of The Larry Sanders Show and "Arty" was by far my favourite character. I really hope Rip gets the help he needs and they don't put him in jail and throw away the key.

Goodbye Conan

Conan went out like the class act that he is. I admit, I shed a few tears.

Here's how the show ended.

I loved how Conan ripped on the guitar.

Here are a few images that caught my eye during the brouhaha.

Conan's fans sure are creative.

David Letterman Weighs In

A Statement from Conan

People of Earth:
In the last few days, I've been getting a lot of sympathy calls, and I want to start by making it clear that no one should waste a second feeling sorry for me. For 17 years, I've been getting paid to do what I love most and, in a world with real problems, I've been absurdly lucky. That said, I've been suddenly put in a very public predicament and my bosses are demanding an immediate decision.
Six years ago, I signed a contract with NBC to take over The Tonight Show in June of 2009. Like a lot of us, I grew up watching Johnny Carson every night and the chance to one day sit in that chair has meant everything to me. I worked long and hard to get that opportunity, passed up far more lucrative offers, and since 2004 I have spent literally hundreds of hours thinking of ways to extend the franchise long into the future. It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule. Building a lasting audience at 11:30 is impossible without both.
But sadly, we were never given that chance. After only seven months, with my Tonight Show in its infancy, NBC has decided to react to their terrible difficulties in prime-time by making a change in their long-established late night schedule.
Last Thursday, NBC executives told me they intended to move the Tonight Show to 12:05 to accommodate the Jay Leno Show at 11:35. For 60 years the Tonight Show has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The Tonight Show at 12:05 simply isn't the Tonight Show. Also, if I accept this move I will be knocking the Late Night show, which I inherited from David Letterman and passed on to Jimmy Fallon, out of its long-held time slot. That would hurt the other NBC franchise that I love, and it would be unfair to Jimmy.
So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction. Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet a time slot doesn't matter. But with the Tonight Show, I believe nothing could matter more.
There has been speculation about my going to another network but, to set the record straight, I currently have no other offer and honestly have no idea what happens next. My hope is that NBC and I can resolve this quickly so that my staff, crew, and I can do a show we can be proud of, for a company that values our work.
Have a great day and, for the record, I am truly sorry about my hair; it's always been that way.
Yours,
Conan

Kristin Cavallari of the Hills is 23?!

Wow, on a good day my Mother looks younger than she does here.
Lay off the blow & booze Kristin, it's bad for you.
