Hi D. Prince, Frankly, I think the only thing Mel Gibson is truly sorry about is getting caught with his anti- semitic options being publicized for everyone to see.
Apparently, his father has been a rabid anti-semitic for years, so what can you expect from the son?
I don't know how a statement is going to fix anything. I could write something just as 'sincere'. And I don't know how 'meeting' members of the Jewish community is going to change anything.
You know what would change my mind about him? If he dedicated at least the next year just to help make the world a better place. e.g. walk away from your money and go build a well for some village in central america, or africa or whereever.
That's the only way I think he can truly apologize to not just Jews but to humanity for making this world a little more hateful.

I agree with Litzi. It's nothing more than a publicity stunt and when things die down, he'll be back to his anti-semitic ways.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
