Call Me Old Fashion...

But isn't this photo of Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia (supposedly modeling children's swimsuits) a tad disturbing?

Go ahead and call me old-fashioned; I don't like it at all. The half-nude body and coquettish look are really bad enough, but who thought to sexualize her even further with a lower-back tattoo?

I guess I'm REALLY an old fogey because I kind of question why any model/celebrity/mother-when-the-nanny's-not-around would encourage their kid to get into an industry known by the parent to be rife with drugs, sex, eating disorders, dishonest and unscrupulous people, unreasonable body image stereotypes...

Yeah, okay, I'm a fuddy duddy. So what? You kids get off my lawn!

I've heard lower back tattoo's called tramp stamps. This photo makes me a tad bit queesy.

what burbanked said, and I also felt sick at the sight of this. Call me a mother who loves her kids. Cindy Crawford may be modern, but you don't invite creeps to think of your child in a sexual way if you really love them, and that's that.

Hi D. Prince,
I totally agree with burbanked. Perhaps I’m a bit old fashioned, as well, but I think this photo looks a bit like kiddie porn. The tattoo on someone this young makes me ill. Why not let Kaia be a normal little girl instead of trying to turn her into a super-model sex object or Lolita? Has Child Protective Services ever taken a look at Cindy Crawford’s parenting skills?

I agree with you all.
I was completely grossed out by this picture.

Extremely disturbing. She is absolutely stunning, but why do they have to make her "sexy"? Little girls are not "sexy".

I just don't know about our world these days.

No wonder children are getting more involved with sexual acts at young ages (oral sex in 8th grade and sometimes younger!). I have a 2 year old daughter and I shudder to think of what her peers are going to have for "morals" when she gets into school. Maybe homeschooling is the answer--better than ho-schooling!
